Spurs Son Heung-min reflects on Europa League win: ‘Just partying, just celebrating’

Spurs captain Son Heung-min reveals he’s been doing lots of “partying” after he led his club to victory in the Europa League final on Wednesday (21 May), in a moment he says he will “never forget”.

Parading through north London on a tour bus with the first team, Mr Heung-min said that the past two days have been filled with “lots of joy and happiness” and that he is “so proud” of his team.

Asked if he had been partying due to his croaky voice, the captain made a funny face and replied: “Just partying, just celebrating. You have seen the worst of me today.”

Heung-min said he is “so glad” to have lifted the trophy - the club’s first in 17 years - in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.
